More Like A High End LV Handbags And What Could Be Manlier

The thing is, I laughed when I realized that I was about to purchase all of those ridiculous items, but there was no part of me that was going to stop the transaction. As my friend and I waited for my goodies to be wrapped up so we could leave the store, I saw my Mandy Coon Bunny Bag being packed away. The last person I know to be spotted carrying a bag in the shape of an animal is nine-year-old Quvenzhane Wallis. So what if I have 20 years on her? The child inside of me still exists, and there is something nostalgic about a cuddly bunny, not to mention something interesting about dressing it up in a punk finish. I must admit I’ve been making some interesting bag choicesLouis Vuitton Singapore lately, but I think it’s because I now own so many classics – why not add more personality to my collection? The point of the story, ultimately, is I am a 29-year-old woman, I bought a bag in the shape of a bunny and I love it.If there’s a word in fashion that’s more overused and abused than “couture,” then I don’t know what it is. (Maybe “curate,” but that’s another rant entirely.) Instead of referring to designer clothing in general, which is how so many people use it, “couture” is a subset of luxury goods that are made by hand, on order, and offer the finest materials and craftsmanship available. French law regulates the term in such a way that accessories don’t technically qualify (there are no fittings, after all), but the Roger Vivier Rendez-Vous Handbag Collection, available until 11 p.m. tonight at Moda Operandi, comes about as close as possible. The collection, which includes both heavily detailed shoulder bags and an assortment of red carpet-worthy evening options, is made by hand with the same techniques that goes into creating a resplendent couture gown. One look at the sequined bags in particular tells you all you need to know – a great deal of care went into crafting these bags, and they’re every bit as luxurious as you’d expect from a French designer who’s willing to invoke the language of couture. If you see something you like (and how couldn’t you?), act quickly – the sale ends tonight and the bags are limited edition. Shop the full selection via Moda Operandi or check them out below.

The more people get used to shopping for luxury goods online, the more they want options, especially when it comes to things that are vintage, pre-owned or no longer available in regular stores. (Or sold in very limited retail locations, like Louis Vuitton or Chanel.) Several types services, from dedicated luxury re-sellers like Portero to flash sale sites like Rue La La, to traditional auction houses like Heritage Auctions that now offer online options for luxury goods, have sprung up to meet those desires, but some retailers like ShopBop are taking the search for vintage designer handbags into their own hands.ShopBop has been working with vintage stalwart What Goes Around, Comes Around for several years, and in the past, the handbag offerings have included lots of Chanel and one or two Hermes pieces. Louis Vuitton HandbagsShopBop has now added a small selection of limited edition and discontinued Louis Vuitton pieces to that assortment, including sought-after pieces from the Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami art collaborations. Below, we’ve included our favorite from all of the What Goes Around, Comes Around pieces at ShopBop, or you can check out the entire vintage offering at ShopBop.Just when you thought that Givenchy might be the only brand not to hop on the Celine-inspired flared gusset bandwagon, the brand new Givenchy HDG Tote pops up, brand new for Pre-Fall 2013. Although we’ve seen a lot of these types of totes in the past two years, I must say that the nail-head handle attachments on this one are pretty fabulous. Every bag needs its defining detail, and for this HDG, that hardware is it.Givenchy aficionados have likely already picked up on the fact that the bag is named for Givenchy founder and famed couturier Hubert de Givenchy, who started the house in 1952. It’s always nice when a company pays homage to its foundation, and the use of Givenchy’s initials in this design probably indicate the the brand is heavily bought in to making this bag a success for years to come. Given that, it seems odd that they’d go with a shape that’s so heavily associated with a competitor, but the bag itself is still quite attractive.

If well-received by customers, it’s likely the design’s simplicity that’ll set it apart from much of the flared-gusset pack. Other than the handle hardware and the small monogram at the bottom right, the bag is all smooth, flat leather. Although the Bergdorf Goodman website lists both the bag above and the one below as being the same size, it’s pretty clear that they’re not – the all black version shows the larger standard bag, while the bicolor version is the “small” tote that the description fits. Notice how the handles have a completely different proportion on both bags? With that in mind, I’m not entirely sure which bag you’ll actually get if you order either of these options, but I can pass along the price information that BG has provided for each.Actress Minka Kelly is the very first celeb we’ve spotted carrying one of theLouis Vuitton limited edition Coach x Krink bags from Coach’s latest capsule collection. (For the extended deets, check out Amanda’s full write-up on the Coach x Krink collab.) Here’s Minka landing at LAX, carrying a Coach x KRINK Leather Weekend Tote, which obviously makes a most optimal carry-on. You can get this bag for $798 at Coach, as well as browse the rest of the collection.Kreal name Craig Costello is the third artist Coach has collaborated with in the past two years. This line has a more unisex vibe, with plenty of graphic print leather billfolds and smartphone cases for the dudes, but these decidedly more feminine, oversized screen-printed leather totes are definitely my fave piece from this collection.Last night’s Real Housewives of Orange County episode was an odd one. The Housewives all got out of town, presumably because everyone, including Bravo producers, knows that sending a cast on a trip is one of the best ways to force them all to spend time together and manufacture the kind of drama that viewers love. This trip was nominally about picking wine for Wines by Wives, Tamra and Vicky’s mail-order wine club, but as with all Housewives trips, it was actually about drinking too much and arguing.
